Heidi came to our rescue as a Owner Release. She was originally owned by a younger family who saved her from a high kill shelter. Unfortunately the family did not know what they got themselves into when it cam to this breed of dog! 

You see this breed of dog is very energetic and high strung and needs proper training from the get go! With out proper leadership and proper ways to release its energy, the dog came become very disobedient and find ways on its own to release the built up energy. If this breed is not raised around other dogs it can act in ways that other dogs think it it is being aggressive. Without proper training around cats it will ultimately no longer be able to be around cats as the prey drive kicks in. 

As you can see this particular dog needs a job and lots of property to it in!

As we brought in Heidi we found a foster for her that had a large property and other dogs to learn to play with. We were able to expose her to cats and recommend a home that does not have cats in it. She would do perfect on a ranch where the ranch hand can take her and teach her how to rustle cattle or sheep. She would not do good around smaller animals that have chickens due to her prey drive. She would also do good with a family that can run her for miles on end constantly. When in the home she does do well and could possibly be an emotional support dog. she is recommended to be the only dog in the home. 

The key to the perfect home for her is to release her energy properly. 

She does not have any special medical needs but she does need that special home just for her!

Heidi is ready for adoption,  up to date on shots, and fixed but needs a special home to drive her properly and be able to burn up her energy.
